Free Group Ride
Lake Sammamish Cruise
Event has already happened.
... participants registered
Counter-clockwise Lake Sammamish loop starting just east of Marymoor.
Target pace is brisk, but riders comfortable with navigating the course independently are welcome to ride ahead, or hang back, and rejoin the group when/if they feel like it. Because of the open structure of this ride, those not familiar with the course should bring navigation aids sufficient to get them back to the start in case they get separated. Your ride leader plans to stay in the mid-upper brisk range on the flats, so don't worry about "pace creep".
Bring what you need to do your own repairs; don't count on the group stopping for flats or mechanicals.
Porta-potties at the start. No formal food stop, but we'll pause at Tully's for relief and refreshment. We will probably deviate slightly from the RWGPS route getting back on the trail after the break; speed will be reduced on the short trail sections.
Be considerate and shield others from your road spray. Wet roads require stable fenders and long flaps, or ride in the back without being asked.
If weather conditions meet the Steady Rain Cancel criteria on the morning of the ride, I will post a ride-cancelled notice in Comments, below, at least 2 hours before scheduled departure. Please check here before leaving home.
