A leisurely, social ride to Alki and back. The ride starts outside the Swedish Cultural Center. Parking in the area is on street parking that may be limited, riding your bike to the start is encouraged. The route will be a mix of multi use paths and on street riding. Please consider this if you feel uncomfortable riding among motor vehicle traffic. We will have a short rest and social stop at Tully's on Alki before heading back. The route back will be along the waterfront through Interbay and along the ship canal trail, ending with a minor climb up Dexter back to the start point. For those that wish to join, the ride leaders will be at the Swedish Club's monthly pancake breakfast from 9:00 to 9:35 A.M. It's a popular and well attended event. The breakfast is $9 for adults if you wish to partake. If you don't spot us during the breakfast, you will be able to find the group outside for a safety briefing and ride sign in at 9:45 A.M.
We will ride in showers, heavier rainfall will cancel the ride. Please have the tools, equipment, and knowledge needed to repair your own flats. Ride leaders are responsible to lead the group ride and cannot stop for mechanical issues. Having a cell phone and orca card or money for public transit is recommended.
