We start with a descent to the Cedar River then ride through the forest, to Dorre Don. There is a section (0.2 miles) of packed gravel on the Cedar River Trail followed by a short 7% climb on pavement (200 yards) to quiet neighborhoods and some rollers through Rock Creek Natural Area . Lunch stop will be early at Panera Bread (see link below) about 11:30 am (mile 17.7). After lunch, the route heads through the forest to Cumberland. We then descend to the Green River Gorge for a photo op. A gradual 3-mile climb up to Black Diamond brings us to the second rest stop (mile 40.8). We should be back to the start about 3:00 pm
Start: Let's meet in the Lake Wilderness Lodge parking lot and be ready to ride at 9:30 am. We will start with a Route Review and required safety briefing then roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing, you will not be able to ride with the group.
