Ride Leader Certification Class (Virtual Training Session)

  • Attendance at the pre-ride safety briefing is required to participate in the ride.
  • If you have tested positive for COVID or have been exposed to someone with COVID, follow the quarantine and isolation guidelines. In general, if you have COVID or are displaying COVID symptoms, or if you are sick with the flu or a cold, you should not participate in group rides.
  • Carry a face covering in case a business or public transit requires their use.
  • Please, no spitting or “snot-rockets” while participating.
  • A CPSC certified helmet is required to be worn to participate.

BECOME A CASCADE FREE GROUP RIDE LEADER!

Find more details about Ride Leader requirements here.  Before you attend the class, you must have already participated in a minimum of five Free Group Rides. This does not include the Cascade Training Series, event rides such as Chilly Hilly, Flying Wheels, STP, etc, or self-paced rides like the Winter Training Series.

Once you have registered and completed the pre-class questionnaire, you will be sent the instructions for how to log into the class, as well as other useful information about leading Free Group Rides for Cascade.

Classes are offered throughout the year. If the timing of this class does not work for you, contact rlcert@cascade.org for future class dates.

If you are NOT planning to attend, please cancel your registration. As noted above, meeting link will only be sent to those who completed the questionnaire and whose qualifications we were able to verify. If you have not yet done at least 5 Free Group Rides and don't anticipate getting them done by the end of this weekend,  please watch for the next class, it will be posted to the calendar shortly after this class. (and then get the 5 rides done before then!). Next class will be offered in October. Thank you for your interest in becoming a ride leader!!!
