Join Cycle Tuesdays (CT) for a ride from UW Medical Center Parking entrance at Husky Stadium on a 30-35 mile route at Vigorous to Strenuous Pace, 18-22 MPH.
We focus on safe pace line and double pace line rotations as we train for STP and enjoy local rides.
We meet at the UW Medical Center Parking entrance at Husky Stadium and please be ready to ride at 3pm. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We stick together to practice paceline riding, and thus increase our average speed. We may climb hills at our own pace, but will regroup at tops of ALL climbs. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
We don't typically stop for restrooms, water, or snacks.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. We chip in to make repairs quick and easy. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criteria listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
