Join us for a social ride from Heritage Park in downtown Kirkland.  This is a hilly 26.4 mile, Steady Pace (12-14mph) route through Kirkland and Bellevue rest stop at Enatai Beach Park, mile 13.9 and an ice cream stop at Molly Moon's, mile 16.6 (suggest you bring snacks).   We return via Overlake Dr E, Evergreen Point Rd,  NE 28th St, Points Dr, 520 Trail, and Lake WA Blvd.  There are hills, but we climb them with a commensurate level of effort of a steady pace and regroup at the top.   Restrooms are not available at the start, but we will stop for restrooms/water at Marina Park, mile 0.3.  Parking is limited at Heritage Park but there is ample room on Waverly Way adjacent to the park.

Let's meet at Heritage Park and please be ready to ride at 11:00am.   We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's doneIf you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.  If you wish to join along the route, please contact us to arrange a meeting point where we can stop and give you the safety briefing.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

We hope you can join us!

Comments

I thought my knee would be better by today but it's not-took a fall while touring Pompeii at the end of our self guided tour in Umbria. So at least it happened after the cycling was finished!
Getting a better diagnosis and PT  this afternoon and hope to be back on the bike soon.  Have a great ride!
