This is a scenic ride that loops from Log Boom Park in Kenmore and travels through areas bordering Lake Washington.

Log Boom Park has bathrooms available.  Park your car on NE 175th street, which is adjacent to Log Boom Park, because the park has a time limit and parking is limited there.

Let's meet in the area between the parking lot and bathrooms in Log Boom Park. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will swing by Marina Park at 6 miles in Kirkland where bathrooms are available if needed.  We will briefly stop at Coulon Park, located at 27 miles,  for a bathroom break and snack you provide for yourself. We’ll also stop after 36 miles at the Belle Epicurean Bakery, and park our bikes at the bakery's outdoor seating area where we can relax and refresh ourselves on French style baked goods and drinks.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup at the top of hills. We will ride at a brisk pace. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH). The following detour is included in the route. We briefly detour off the East Lake Washington Boulevard on to a section of Montlake Boulevard sidewalk, due to road construction on the 520 lid project.  Then we rejoin our route over the Montlake Bridge.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case and be prepared to fix your own flat. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group. If you need a cue sheet print one.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

We hope you can join us!
