Join us for a ride from Newport Hills Park and Ride on a 26.4 mile route at moderate pace (14-16mph)!

We'll head over to Factoria for our longest climb which is Honda Hill (don't worry, it's not bad and we'll regroup at the top) and then reward ourselves with a nice downhill before grabbing a coffee and/or snacks at Issaquah Coffee.  We'll head back via bucolic May Valley Road, a beautiful, winding road past horse farms.

Let's meet at the Newport Hills Park and Ride (Exit 9 off I-405) and please be ready to ride at 11:00am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup as needed.  We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms are NOT restrooms available at the start. We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at Issaquah Coffee at mile 10.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

We hope you can join us!

Comments

Heavy rain throughout the day with 25mph wind gusts does not make it fun to ride. Better weather is coming!
