Join us for a summer ride from Bainbridge Island Senior Center to Seward Park and Columbia City. Distance is 20 miles. We will biking pace of 10 to 12 miles per hour on the flat.

We will take the 10:25 ferry to Seattle and ride up to Lake Washington along Lake Washington Blvd. We will loop around Seward Park on the path along the lake and then ride to Columbia City Park for a lunch stop.  This is next to PCC and also a Molly Moon Ice Cream stand! Returning through Mt Baker Greenway and the Mountains to Sound Trail.  There are a couple of small hills.

Let's meet at the Senior Center at 9:50 for our pre-ride safety briefing.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together.  We will regroup at the top of any hills. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum.

Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water in Seward Park. A bathroom is also available in PCC.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

We hope you can join us!

Please let the rider leader know, if you are bringing an ebike.

Hi - I think I reached out in June. I just did the Port Townsend lite, not sure if that counts as group ride or something else. This will be my first small group ride and I will be on an e-bike.

I am going to have to bow out - the air quality doesn't look to be great on the day of the ride and I'm already feeling the effects today. I'm super bummed. I hope everyone else has a great ride!
