Join us for a ride from Seattle Ferry Terminal on a 32 mile route at steady pace (12-14 mph on flat terrain.) We will take the 9:35 AM ferry to Bainbridge and then ride the Chilly Hilly route. Hopefully it won't be chilly, but it will be hilly.
Let's meet at the Seattle Ferry Terminal around 9 AM and please be ready to board the ferry when loading starts. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group. You'll need to purchase a ferry ticket.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently. There are no commercial stops on this route, other than on the ferry, so please bring a sandwich or other food. We'll stop at the park at about the midway point for restrooms and a chance to eat our food.
Restrooms are available at the start, on the ferry. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at about mid-way through the ride.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below by 7 AM on the day of the ride and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!

Would be nice to do Toe Jam Hill, Fort Ward, food stop at Lynwood Center and ride down to the water at Fay Bainbridge SP for the views.
Weather for tomorrow
Hello riders. Current weather forecast is scattered showers for Tuesday, not the best day, but not the worst day either. I'll check this evening and if canceling, will do so this evening rather than in the morning. So, bring raingear and let's ride. Bring a sandwich or other food. You'll need to buy a ferry ticket and we'll meet at the ferry terminal in Seattle.
Ride Cancelled
Weather forecast looks marginal, windy and likely rainy. Given that it's a trek to get to Bainbridge Island and having to find parking in Seattle, I have decided to cancel.
