Come and join us for a scenic ride from Redmond up to and across the Sammamish Plateau, an exhilarating downhill to the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley, then to the town of Carnation. We'll return via Union Hill.  The route is 37 miles long with 1900 feet of climbing.  There are restrooms and water available at the start in the Redmond Community Center.  We’ll have a restroom break at mile nine and an (approximately) half-hour lunch stop at mile 21 (Starbucks in Carnation).

We will start at the Marymoor Park free parking lot at the east entrance to the park near the intersection of 176th Ave. NE and NE 65th St.  The lot is immediately south of the Redmond Community Center.

Be ready to ride at 10 AM.  We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing, you will not be able to ride with the group.

This is a Steady pace ride, 12-14 mph on the flats in the absence of wind.  We will climb and descend hills with each rider at their own pace, and our goal will be to regroup at the top of each long hill. However, we won’t be able to wait long for anyone substantially off the pace. Please bring navigation aids in case you need to finish on your own.  We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Be prepared with the equipment and knowledge to take care of your own flats and mechanicals, and a plan for getting back to the start if your bike won't take you there.  If you have a problem the group will stop briefly to make sure you will be OK on your own, but we may not be able to wait for repairs to be completed.

Steady rain cancels. Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

We hope you can join us!
