FRUMPS - Foothills Trail to Buckley for lunch - out and back

From the East Puyallup Trailhead we follow the Foothills Trail to Orting.  This route gets off the trail through Orting and then back on and heads to Buckley. There are wonderful views of the Carbon River and an "S" shaped curve in the climb up to Buckley.  Lunch is at the half-way point at Wally's (see link below).  After lunch we return downhill back to the start.

Start: Let's meet in the parking lot of the East Puyallup Trailhead at 10:00 am for the pre-ride safety briefing and route review.  We will depart after the briefing.  IMPORTANT:  If you are not present and ready at 10:00 am when we start the safety briefing, you will not be allowed to participate. 

What to bring:  Supplies and tools to fix a flat, cell phone in case you cannot finish, water bottles, pocket snacks, money for lunch.

Restrooms: At the start and at mile 15, lunch (20.2), and 25.3

Cue sheet: Print a map and cue sheet from the Ride With GPS Route link below. 

Regroup:  We will regroup at the top of hills. Mechanicals will not stop the group. Have an alternate plan if you cannot finish the ride.

Cancellation Policy: In the event of a weather cancellation, it will be posted 2 hours prior to the start in the comments section below and the Ride Leader will not be at the start.
