Join us for a scenic ride through the Snoqualmie Valley and Snohomish starting from Woodinville on a 69 mile low traffic volume route.
We will start at the Woodinville Sports Field parking lot across the street from Wilmot Park and ride through scenic back roads into the town of Snohomish, ride to Everett and along the Snohomish River back to downtown Snohomish where we will stop for coffee at the Snohomish Bakery. We will continue on back roads through the valley and ride our way back to Woodinville. We will have a restroom stop with no water at mile 18, Snohomish Bakery stop at mile 40 and a convenience store stop at mile 63.
We will ride at a Moderate Pace of 14-16 MPH. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH). Climbs and descents are at each rider's own pace. We will regroup at the top of hills, and occasionally to make sure the group stays together.
Let's meet at the Woodinville Sports Field parking lot and please be ready to ride at 8:45 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group. There is plenty of parking, restroom and water available at the start.
Ride with GPS route map and cue sheet are at the Link, below. If you want a cue sheet, please print it.
Bring ID; spare tube, tools, patch kit, pump, and skills to fix flats; and have a phone and a plan for rescue if your bike fails. If roads are wet, fenders with long mudflaps are very highly recommended - otherwise you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
Please join us for a fun ride!
