Join us for a ride from Burnett Linear Park in Renton on a 49 mile route at Moderate (14-16 MPH)!
We start off in bucolic downtown Renton at Burnett Linear Park, warm up with a ride out to Alki then around the point where the fun begins. We head to West Seattle via Marine View Drive, a manageable climb; after which we will take a short stop at the Dubsea Deli or Green bridge Café (Your choice) to fuel for our climbs up Des Moines Memorial and 42nd Ave followed by a nice downhill. We finish with a ride to our last restroom stop at Three Friends Fishing Hole and a short trail/road ride back to the start.
Let's meet at the Burnett Linear Park at 9:45 AM for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00 AM.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms are not available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 3.7 Foster Links, 27.4 Dubsea Deli and 40.9 Three Friends Fishing Hole.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please note in the event of Zombie Apocalypse Ride leader will not be at start or post cancellation.
We hope you can join us!
