Three Friends Fishing Hole-Kent/Auburn Loop
If you are new, please read our newcomer information.
It will be a fun, flat steady ride! We keep our pace about 13mph.
Please note: During COVID-19 Phases 1.5 and 2, all Free Group Rides are limited to six total participants: the Ride Leader and five others. Registration for the ride (using the red “Register Now” button above) is REQUIRED to participate. If you decide not to ride, please unregister for this ride so that an additional spot will be made available to another. PLEASE NOTE, for this ride we will have 4 spaces available due to being a mentored ride.
Face coverings (for mouth and nose) are required when the group makes extended stops. Face coverings are recommended for the duration of the ride. Please bring personal hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes and tissues for use at rest stops.
Join us for a ride from Three Friends Fishing Hole on a 25 mile route at a leisurely pace of 10-12mph! Please come join me in supporting Sharan, a Ride Leader candidate, in her mentored ride.
Let's meet at the Three Friends Fishing Hole at 8:30am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 9:00am
We will stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms are available at the start. We can stop along the way for restrooms/water during the ride if needed and available at Kent Station. We also have the option to have a brown bag lunch after the ride at the ride start. There is enough space for us to be socially distant, enjoy some sun and fresh air, with the option of answering questions or discussing safe and fun cycling. Please bring a lunch if you are wanting to join us. Also make sure you bring plenty of water, electrolytes and snacks for the ride, as unfortunately I am unable to share during this time.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group. Please be prepared to change your own tire and take care of your own minor mechanicals in order to keep safe social distancing. If you are unable to or do not know how to do minor maintenance on your bike, please have a ride set up to pick you up or have an ORCA card to take the bus.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
