Join us for a ride from Three Friends Fishing Hole Park in Kent on a 38.6 mile route at a vigorous pace 18-20mph!
High intensity interval training, is a great way to see what you are made out of! For this week we will be riding at a vigorous pace, with no head/tail wind we will be riding on safe trails and roads with the purpose of having a high cadence (pedals moving fast). We will descend or climb hills at our own pace and wait or slow down for everyone to catch up.
Our route:
We will start by heading north on the Green River Trail from Three Friends Fishing Hole Park. We will ride through Renton and shortly followed by riding on the West side of the Lake Washington Loop. After crossing the I-90 Trail we will ride back into Renton and through the Streets of Kent all the way back to the start. On Multi Use Trails we will go the posted speed limit 15mph!
Let's meet at Three Friends Fishing Hole Park at 9:40 am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10am Sharp!!!!
Our goal will be to stay together for the duration of the route.
Restrooms are at the start, Seward Park at mile 14, Coulon Park at mile 30.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
