West of Ebey
Join us for a ride from Snohomish on a 25 mile route at steady pace (12 - 14 mph).
Very rural and quiet with little traffic, some residential and a little city road. A new housing area has come up in southeast Everett with a bike trail along the Snohomish river that we will ride on part of the way. This is one of the several ways to bike in the area of Ebey Island, an island in the Snohomish delta barely a few feet above sea level.
This is not considered a hard ride, social aspects emphasized, but the weather may be our biggest challenge at this time of year
Let's meet at the Centennial Trail on Maple near the corner of Pine, about one mile north of town at 10:45 am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 11:00 am.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together and regroup frequently.
Restrooms are NOT available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 1 and 15. Also, coffee/snacks at Starbucks at mile 15.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
