  • Attendance at the pre-ride safety briefing is required to participate in the ride.
  • If you have tested positive for COVID or have been exposed to someone with COVID, follow the quarantine and isolation guidelines. In general, if you have COVID or are displaying COVID symptoms, or if you are sick with the flu or a cold, you should not participate in group rides.
  • Carry a face covering in case a business or public transit requires their use.
  • Please, no spitting or “snot-rockets” while participating.
  • A CPSC certified helmet is required to be worn to participate.

Let's do a leisurely Burke Gilman trail ride from Matthews Beach north to the North Shore Senior Center just beyond Blyth Park near Bothell. We can buy a piece of homemade pie, cookies, ice cream, and coffee at a reasonable price.  Please bring cash only for any purchases. We will be there for about 60 minutes, use the restrooms, if needed, and then return to Matthews Beach. Bring your water bottles, helmets, spare inner tube to fix a flat and a functioning bicycle. 

We will ride along the Burke Gilman Trail.  The terrain is flat. We stay together and regroup frequently.  Returning bike riders are welcome.

Parking available at the start along with restrooms and water. 

Please, arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ride to sign the liability waiver and hear the safety (SMART) briefing.

Please, sign an e-waiver by clicking on the “Register Now” button at the top of this page (right below the ride title) and enter your information. If you have registered and decide not to ride, it is not a problem.

Weather cancellation: Steady rain or severe weather will cancel the ride.  Showers won't cancel the ride.  Ride cancellation will be announced in the Comments section below at least two hours before start time and the ride leader(s) will not be at the start.
