KEEPING RIDERS SAFE
- Advance registration required for all participants. If you decide not to ride, please click Cancel My Registration below to open space for others. (How to cancel)
- Attendance at the pre-ride safety briefing is required to participate in the ride.
- If you have tested positive for COVID or have been exposed to someone with COVID, follow the quarantine and isolation guidelines. In general, if you have COVID or are displaying COVID symptoms, or if you are sick with the flu or a cold, you should not participate in group rides.
- Carry a face covering in case a business or public transit requires their use.
- Please, no spitting or “snot-rockets” while participating.
- A CPSC certified helmet is required to be worn to participate.

Join us for a ride from Hamilton Viewpoint Park on a 10.2 mile route at Easy pace, under 10 mph!
Have you ever wanted to do the Seattle-to-Portland ride? Or even wanted to do the 1-day STP? And forgot to sign up or train for it? Here is your big fat chance! Do it in 2 hours! Same weekend as Cascade's big STP, so you too can brag at the water cooler and post pix. West Seattle Bike Connections will be riding the little STP again from SW Seattle Street in the Admiral neighborhood to SW Portland Street in Fauntlee Hills, and back north to Summerfest at the West Seattle Junction, for a fabulous finish line party. After an hour or two there, participants can ride home independently, or ride with a leader back to the start point.
Family friendly and fun! Parent or guardian of children and youth riding their own bikes: please read and conform to Cascade's policy (see link below). Call ride leader for a 2-way communication at least a day in advance.
Let's meet at Hamilton Viewpoint at 9:15 am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 9:30 am.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together.
Restrooms are NOT available at the start. Nearest are at Seacrest Park on Harbor Avenue. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 2.8 and 7.2 (at Summerfest).
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Helmets required. Any type of bike is OK. Check the day before to make sure tires have air; brakes are working; and seat, chain and gears are working for you.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
