KEEPING RIDERS SAFE

- Attendance at the pre-ride safety briefing is required to participate in the ride.
- If you have tested positive for COVID or have been exposed to someone with COVID, follow the quarantine and isolation guidelines. In general, if you have COVID or are displaying COVID symptoms, or if you are sick with the flu or a cold, you should not participate in group rides.
- Carry a face covering in case a business or public transit requires their use.
- Please, no spitting or “snot-rockets” while participating.
- A CPSC certified helmet is required to be worn to participate.

We'll catch the 10:10 ferry to Southworth and ride to Port Orchard after a side trip to Manchester State Park. This is a beautiful ride, mostly along the water and mostly flat with just a few hills. We'll have lunch in Port Orchard. Return by the same route minus the side trip. Bring money for the ferry and for lunch. And bring some camel chow.
Ride start: Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ride to sign the liability waiver and hear the safety briefing. Water and restrooms are available at the start. Be prepared if you have a mechanical problem e.g. flat tire.
Register: You'll save time at the start if you sign an e-waiver by clicking on the “Register Now” button at the top of this page (right below the ride title) and enter your information. If you cannot make the ride, you do not need to unregister.
Parking: I recommend parking in the UPPER parking lot at Lincoln Park and riding down the hill to the ferry. The lower Lincoln Park lot has a time limit.
Weather cancellation: - Showers, snow, icy conditions or more severe weather will cancel the ride. Ride cancellation will be announced in the comments section at least two hours before start time and the ride leader(s) will not be at the start.

Red Light Cameras
If school is still in session, there are two separate cameras in school zones on Fauntleroy Way that measure your speed. Watch for blinking yellow lights, the ticket you get in the mail is quite expensive. Don't ask me how I know.
