This week it's a crowd-favorite MUMPS loop around Lake Washington, with a scenic detour through Beaux Arts Village, Enetai, Eastland, up through Medina and across the 520 trail to the Kirkland waterfront and back to the start.
We'll ride out of Log Boom Park. There is a four hour parking restriction at the park, so consider using the free parking just to the east on NE 175th.
You can ride all or part of the route. Start at Log Boom Park or meet us along the way. Be aware that the route may be shortened without notice due to weather.
We will try to stay together, regrouping occasionally, but please bring navigation aids in case you need to finish on your own. Ride your own pace on the hills; faster riders are free to ride ahead and wait for the rest of us. The ride becomes self-led for those ahead of or behind the group. Brisk pace, but we will observe the speed limit on the multi-use trails.
BRING SNACKS! We'll pause at Seward, Coulon, and Marina Parks, but there are no coffee/restaurant stops.
Bring tools and knowledge to repair flats; we MAY pause briefly for flat repair or minor mechanicals (depending on riders' schedules), but have a phone and a plan to get home/back to the start if needed.
Fenders with LONG mud flaps are recommended if there's a chance that roads will be wet, in which case you're responsible for staying behind everyone with better fenders than yours.
Please register at least two hours in advance by clicking the red Register Now button at the top of this page to make sure that you are on the pre-printed waiver. Or you can register manually at the start. You don't have to un-register if you can't make the ride.
Plan to arrive 15 minutes early for briefing and ride prep so that we can leave on time.
In case of cancellation, the ride leader will not be at the start and the cancellation will be posted (in Comments, below) at least 2 hours before the start.
Hope to see you then!
