Will bike for ice cream - really good ice cream at Bliss Small Batch Creamery near the Whole Foods in University Place. We'll meet at the Harbor History Museum on the waterfront in historic downtown Gig Harbor. Please arrive around 9:15 for introductions and a brief safety talk before we leave. Coming by car? We have permission to use the museum parking lot. There is a washroom at the park across the street. The ride takes us up out of the harbor, over the bridge and to Chamber's Bay before our ice cream stop at mile 17. Links to the route and to Bliss below.
There are some hills -we'll take them at our own pace and regroup at the top. We will also regroup before turns if we get spread out. Pace is moderate, defined as 14 to 16 miles per hour on flat terrain with no wind. New riders welcome! Click on "read our newcomers information" above. Feel free to post a comment or message me if you have any questions.
Register for the ride by clicking the red "register now" button. Basic memberships are now FREE, so please set up an account if you don't already have one. Doing this beforehand will save us time at the start and I will also have your information clearly written on my paperwork.
The Museum will be opening as we return and it is worth a visit - admission is free thanks to a grant from the people of the city of Gig Harbor and as a participant of Bike to a Business- Gig Harbor, they have a special gift for bike riders. Please join the facebook group "Bike to a Business - Gig Harbor" (linked below).
