Ride Description:

Join us for a LESS Hills ride. It's a great way to add a little training and sightseeing to your midweek schedule, as well as to take advantage of the longer daylight hours of Pacific Northwest at midsummer.

The start location will be at Lower Woodland Park. We will ride on urban Seattle streets as well as some trails. We will keep the published pace on flats, but you can go uphill at your own pace. We will keep the group together on these rides. You should bring your own cue sheet. Please pack water, snack, and tools/tubes to fix a flat as always. Even though the majority of ride will be in daylight, please have your lights (both front and back) just in case. This week we head north on the Interurban Trail to Shoreline, and then go west to Broadview, Crown Hill and Ballard, before returning to Green Lake.

We will roll at 6 pm so please come early enough to get ready, sign a waiver, and listen to the safety briefing. Registering here will make the process easier and we can better prepare with appropriate number of Ride Leaders. In addition to showers, any other hazardous conditions will cancel a ride. If a ride is cancelled due to hazardous conditions, the notice will be posted here in the comments section below, and on the Meetup announcement page by 4:00 p.m. on the day of the ride. If that notice is posted, the ride leaders will not be at the start.

Comments

Made a slight adjustment to the route......left on 160th off the Interurban to get over to Greenwood, as opposed to going up to 165th.
