Red # 11: Renton - Cedar Grove
If you are new, please read our newcomer information.
This ride will start at the Old Renton City Hall next to the Renton Library. We'll head south via the Cedar River Trail, climb a few hills at the Cedar Grove area; then we’ll roll along towards Issaquah on the Issaquah-Hobart Road. We’ll face some fun stuff along the way to the west side of Lake Washington, such as the now-familiar climb up Newport Way and the downhill reward after that. We'll experience rolling hills as we cross Mercer Island, a short steep hill climb after crossing the I-90 bridge, switchbacks downhill to Lake Washington Blvd and the 1/2-mile climb after Seward Park. Then it's back to Renton along Rainier Avenue.
There will be a short food stop at the Safeway in Issaquah at mile 37.
Bathrooms and water may be available at the start. Rest stops will be at Ron Regis Park (mile 3), Lake Wilderness Park (mile 16), Levdansky Park (mile 24), the Safeway/Starbucks Food Stop (mile 37), Enatai Beach Park (mile 47), and Seward Park (mile 56).
Please arrive at least 20 minutes early (7:40 a.m.) so you can get yourself ready and listen to the S.M.A.R.T. briefing (7:50 a.m.). Our roll-out time is 8:00 a.m.! Riders not present for the safety briefing will not be allowed to ride with the group.
