The weather looks nice! Join me in Redmond for a fun social ride over the 520 bridge and around Lake Washington. We ride at 12:30pm, please arrive 20 minutes early to sign the waiver and hear the safety talk. Optionally after the ride, we can go for ice cream at Molly Moon on Cleveland St.

Pace: We will ride steady, which is 12-14mph on the flats with no wind. We may go faster or slower based on wind or gradient. We will regroup at the top of all hills.

Route: Most of the route is bike paths, with some roads. We have the big 520 hill at the start and then there are some small rolling hills until the 520 bridge. After the bridge, we will take the super flat trail back around the lake. Here is the map and cue sheet: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/26977125 Please download or print the cue sheet in case you need to find a way back by yourself.

What to bring: Wear comfortable clothes for the weather and bring a working bike, a helmet, and water. Also, bring a patch kit and a way to get back to the start (printed cue sheet, phone, Uber/Lyft, Orca card) if you have a mechanical or need to separate from the group. The group will not stop for mechanicals.

Start location: We will start in the Redmond City Hall parking lot, near the flag poles. If the parking lot is full there is additional parking in the garage behind the police department. There are restrooms at the library near the start. Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to sign the waiver and hear the safety briefing. You will not be allowed to ride if you don't arrive in time to hear the safety briefing.

Stops: We will stop on the 520 bridge to take a group photo. We will also stop at Log Boom Park in Kenmore where there are restrooms and water refill.

Weather cancellation: If steady rain is in the forecast, I will post a ride-cancelled notice in Comments, below, two hours prior and not go to the start. Ice or snow or very low temperatures also cancel. Please check here before leaving for the ride.

Registration: Please RSVP by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of this page, checking the waiver release box, and clicking on Save.  By doing this you will save time at the ride start.
