Marymoor Issaquah Coffee Run
If you are new, please read our newcomer information.
Looking to become more comfortable riding on the roads? Do you want to move off the trails, but feel nervous sharing the road with cars, debris, and garbage cans? Are you wondering how to best tackle that hill ahead of you or that descent that follows? The next three Wednesdays we'll explore different classic eastside routes of varying lengths, each providing a different experience. Throughout the ride we'll have the opportunity to discuss road safety & skills, rules of the road, and the nuances of road riding.
NOTE: This ride is for those riders experienced riding their bikes, but who would like have a more comfortable on road experience. It is not suitable for those new to riding. Experienced road riders are welcome!
This week we'll ride counter-clockwise around Lake Sammamish with a short stop at Issaquah Coffee for a quick snack before heading back up E. Lk. Sammamish to Marymoor. The route is mostly flat with a few short hills and a couple longer gentle to moderate hills (nothing major).
Riders should bring tools and knowledge to repair flats. A Ride With GPS route is available at the link below. Please register for the ride by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of this page. Then put a checkmark in the waiver release box, complete the Emergency Contact Number, and click on Save. By doing this you will save time at the ride start. If you are unable to attend you do not need to "un-register."
We'll be meeting in the Marymoor Park East Parking Lot (Free), bathrooms are available at the start.
