Fun and flat Easter Bunny Trail Ride.

This ride starts at the Auburn Regal Cinemas (parking lot) at the Outlet Mall next to Walmart. Heading north on the Interurban Trail, keeping an eye out for bunnies along the way, then turning west on the Green River Trail to join low traffic Frager road. We may even see nesting bald eagles along the route near the Riverbend Golf Course. Our bathroom break at mile 10.3 will be our turn around. Please bring a snack if you like before heading back on the Green River and Interurban trails.

This is a social ride with experienced ride leaders to grow your confidence with group riding. It is free and open to everyone. The route consists of trails and bike-friendly streets.  This is a 'stay together' ride.

"Leisurely Pace" is 10-12 mph on the flat surface without any headwind. Average walking speed is around 3 mph, so we will be 3-4 times faster! If you are not sure about your pace, please join us anyway, but study the route and bring a printed cue sheet with you. We can help you read the cue sheet if you need to return to the start early.

You should dress appropriately for the weather, but you do not need spandex or other specialized bike gear. All you need is a working bike and a helmet. If you haven't ridden your bike for quite some time, please do an ABC Check (link below) or take it to your local bike shop a few days prior to the ride date.

Please arrive 30 minutes before the published start time to ready your bike, check in and participate in the safety and ride briefing. We will go over hand signals and what we say during the ride to keep ourselves safe.

Please sign an e-waiver by clicking on the “Register Now” button at the top of this page (right below the ride title) and enter your information. This will help us plan how many Ride Leaders to have. If you cannot make the ride, you do not need to unregister.

Showers or more severe weather will cancel the ride.  Ride cancellation will be announced in the comments section at least two hours before start time and the ride leaders will not be at the start.

If you have questions, please contact the Ride Leader.

Comments

We will be stopping at mile 10 for a potty break, photo op, and a nutrition snack.  Make sure and bring a water bottle, snack, your helmet and of course your bike.  Look for a green S-10 pickup in the Theater parking lot (closest to Wal-Mart) with two bikes leaning on it; I will be in a pink Cascade Ride Leader Jersey. See you all on Sunday!
