Senior Ladies On Wheels welcome all riders of all ages, as long as you ride S.L.O.W.!  Our pleasant, sociable rides start at 11 am at the Northwest African American Museum on the last Saturday of every month.  Rides are between 5 and 15 miles, following quiet, low-traffic streets, neighborhood Greenways and trails.  We usually stop for lunch along the way.  We stay together, no rain cancellation (although if it's really pouring we may choose a shorter ride!).  There are a few gradual climbs on most rides, but there's no shame in getting off and walking a stretch. The slowest rider sets the pace - don't worry, we won't hurry!  Details of the October ride will be posted in the Comments.

This month's SLOW Ride takes us to the Pike Place Market along a comfortable, low-traffic route and the new Second Avenue Protected Bike Lane. Here's the route on Map My Ride:  It's 6.75 miles round trip.

We'll stop for lunch in Victor Steinbruck Park; riders can bring a lunch or pick up something in the Pike Place Market.  Rain won't stop us - but may lead us to choose an indoor spot for lunch.

If you've always thought you'd NEVER ride a bike in Downtown Seattle, this ride is designed to change your mind. As always, we stay together; the slowest rider sets the pace, and there's no shame in walking your bike up hills.  Don't worry, we won't hurry!
