The 2020 Washington Bike, Walk, and Roll Summit is just around the corner, from April 26 to 27 in Spokane. We are thrilled to return to Eastern Washington and connect many advocates, professionals, and community members from across the state. We are also excited to announce our two keynote presenters!

Anna Zivarts: Anna is a low-vision mom who believes in organizing and the power of stories to change narratives around disability, labor, and mobility. She is the program director of Rooted in Rights, a non-profit that tells authentic, accessible stories to challenge the stigma around disability, mental health, and chronic illness. As a part of Disability Rights Washington, Rooted in Rights' team of disabled video producers, editors, and digital organizers partner with both local coalitions and national advocacy campaigns to fight for concrete changes for the disability community.

 

 

Charles T. Brown: Charles is the founder and managing principal of Equitable Cities, LLC -- a nationally known urban planning, policy, research, and multimedia firm working at the intersection of transportation, health, and equity. He has more than a decade of public and private sector experience in urban and regional planning, public policy, and research. He is currently producing a documentary which explores the impact (i.e., social, political, economic, and health) of over-policing black mobility in the U.S. He also just assisted the Virginia Department of Health in the establishment of it's first-ever Walkability Action Institute.

In addition to these two inspirational keynotes, the Summit will feature two days of interactive panels, mobile tours, networking opportunities, and more -- all with folks who share your passion for active transportation.

Late Registration:  $300 both days // $150 one day

Scholarships:  As a non-profit organization, we work to broaden the inclusion of voices and perspectives at the conference for the benefit of all participants. If you need help to defer the costs of registration, then consider applying for a scholarship!
