Have you ever ridden so hard or so fast that your helmet hair ended up looking like this?
The students at Dearborn Park Elementary School rode for two straight hours, dodging hot lava rocks and plastic snakes, slaloming through a cone maze and navigating a roundabout similar to the Arc de Triomphe.
These exercises were part of a Bicycle Rodeo, which is a super fun safety course that can be set up in a parking lot or playground to teach kids critical bike skills and help them develop a greater understanding of bike safety.
Not only did these kids have a ton of fun, by learning these the essential bicycling skills, they are closer toward becoming more independent riders. Learn more about bike rodeos, here.
