CLIF Bar has made the Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation its September beneficiary of the CLIF Bar 2 Mile Challenge, supporting us with a donation of up to $10,000!
Just how much they will donate depends on how many bike trips you and people on bikes throughout the nation log during the month of September. For every bike trip you log, the CLIF Bar 2 Mile Challenge will make a $1 donation to the Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation (CBCEF).
Trip tips:
- Login to the 2 Mile Challenge with your Facebook account.
- You can track up to 4 trips per day.
- Miles don't matter one bit, just track your trips.
- Back-dating is not an option, so if you miss a day, it's perfectly OK to log the trip on a future day.
Cascade Bicycle Club offers bike classes for all ages and skill-levels. From learning to ride to urban cycling techniques to bike maintenance skills, in 2011, we served 1,000 people in our adult classes.Image![]()
CLIF has been a longtime Cascade sponsor, and we’re pleased to receive their support through the 2 Mile Challenge. Please visit their website or use the iPhone App to sign-up, log miles and in turn, contribute directly to our Education Foundation. Thanks to CLIF Bar for choosing us as the September beneficiary, and THANK YOU for biking and logging your miles!Biking to school creates daily exercise habits, reduces car traffic and air pollution, and helps teach safe cycling habits. In 2011, 3,300 elementary school students (and their awesome parents) from 34 different schools around the Seattle area participated in Cascade's Bike to School Month. In middle schools and high schools, 373 students biked 1979.2 miles!Image![]()
