Now is the time to show up and speak up for short-term improvements to the Ballard Bridge!
Please join the Connect Ballard Team at the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) Neighborhood Greenway Open House on Monday, May 2. You’ll have the chance weigh-in on proposals to improve bridge safety for people biking and walking.
Caring neighbors — including business owner and Cascade Board Member Haley Keller — have been calling for improvements to the Ballard Bridge for a long time. Take a look at the video Haley made last year:
Now is the time to fix this gap and ensure it is safe for all ages and abilities.
Join us in asking for short-term improvements to the Ballard Bridge, such as:
Safe connections on and off of the bridge for people walking and biking
Wide, ADA accessible sidewalks
Taller railings to keep people from falling into the street
25 MPH speed limit
Protected Bike Lanes at south end
At this open house, you’ll also have an opportunity to weigh in on efforts to connect historic Ballard to the Burke-Gilman Trail and RapidRide improvements.
