Cloudy or Rainy! Science Fiction Time! (Leisurely)

That's right, you heard it! If we have rain or if it's cloudy we are riding.

If you are looking to ride on protected bicycle lanes and quiet streets, sign up! We will begin our ride at Gas Works Park, where we will ride towards Green Lake. After exploring Green Lake we will head towards Elliot Bay and Lake Union. We will have a 30-minute coffee stop at The Outer Rim. This coffee shop has a sci-fi feel, so bring your favorite sci-fi book and let's get lost in our own worlds!!!! This is a mentored ride (a step toward certification as a Cascade Free Group Ride Leader) for Tyler Broussard. 

Let's meet at the start and please be ready to ride at 10 am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms are available at the start and or at the end of the ride. Our coffee stop will also have a restroom.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is canceled at least two hours prior to the start, the Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
