Hills Out Of Auburn; Moneysmith, Green Valley (Brisk)

Let's meet at the Auburn Fred Meyer northwest parking lot. Be there by 5:45 PM with a front light and tail light. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

HOOA! We will be riding out of the city into the SE King County Wilderness to find the Lake Moneysmith rollers on our way to the Black Diamond Bakery for a pastry.  Then descend down into Green Valley for a long meandering ride through fields and farmlands by the river in the dark...so lights are required.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace and regroup, otherwise we will stay together.

Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for pastries, water and restroom at the bakery mile 17. We should be there before the sun sets on the mountain, and then roll out, chasing the last glimpse of dusk over the horizon...

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group. ALSO YOU WILL NEED LIGHTS

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
