Kirkland Social Bellevue Madison Park (Steady)

Let's meet at Heritage Park Parking Lot.  Be ready to ride at the time listed above. We will start with the required safety briefing and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.  If you plan to join enroute please contact the ride leader in advance to arrange for a safety briefing.

We will ride south from Kirkland to Bellevue's Spring St and Hilltop areas and then onto Medina Park for a rest stop @ mile 8.7.  The route continues over the 520 bridge through the Arboretum and on to Madison Park. We will have a 30-minute food/snack stop at Starbucks in Madison Park @ mile 18.3  The ride returns to the start via the West Arboretum Trail, the 520 trail and Lake Washington Blvd/Lake Street.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace and will regroup when necessary. Riders should be able to sustain a 12-14 mile per hour pace on the flats with a commensurate level of effort on the hills. We will also adhere to posted trail speed limits (10mph in some places).

Restrooms and water are not available at the start, but we will stop at Marina Park at mile 0.3.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring are a phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. 

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, the Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
