We will ride south on the Burke-Gilman Trail to the Museum of History and Industry in South Lake Union. We then take a break at MOHAI. A variety of items are usually available for riders to purchase at Gourmondo. We will be there for about 30 to 60 minutes, use the restrooms if needed and then return to Matthews Beach.
This is Laurie Foster's second mentored ride. Come support Laurie in becoming a Free Group Ride leader.
Route: Come, have fun, converse and enjoy this social bike ride along the Burke Gilman Trail, the Fremont Bike and Westlake Cycle Track. The terrain is flat.
Pace: Steady Pace
Cue sheets: No cue sheets provided. Stay together ride.
Fenders: If the riding surfaces are wet, please come equipped with fenders long enough to keep the person riding behind you dry or be the caboose.
Ride start: We meet at the Matthews Beach parking lot. Please be ready to ride at 10:00 a.m. We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate. Note: Water and restrooms are available at the start.
Be Prepared: Be prepared if you have a mechanical problem e.g. flat tire or have a rescue plan, e.g. bus pass (ORCA card).
Register: Please sign an e-waiver by clicking on the “Register Now” button at the top of this page (right below the ride title) and enter your information.
Parking: Free parking at Matthews Beach parking lot.
Weather cancelation: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride location.

- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
