The variety of bicycles and bike styles at Cascade's Bike Everywhere Breakfast was amazing to behold.

If Cascade's Bike Everywhere Breakfast was the Oscars, the bike corral would be the red carpet.
Instead of limos there were bikes of every style: electric, cargo, commuter, folding, carbon fiber, recumbent, steel, titanium and aluminum. There were handmade frames and fancy road bikes, garage sale specials, and refurbished clunkers.
Instead of tuxedos and gowns, people dressed in colorful cycling kits and hi-viz commuter-wear, jeans and street clothes, rain jackets and business casual, T-shirts and shorts.
All left with a smile because, as Executive Director Lee Lambert told the audience: "bicycles are magic." And all people on bikes are beautiful.
Former SDOT director Sam Zimbabwe rode his Faraday electric bike.
Cascade Board Co-Chair Casey Gifford told the audience about her experience being hit by a car, and how "bike infrastructure matters."
Board Member Brice Maryman rolled in boots and jeans.
Seattle City Council Member Teresa Mosqueda arrived and departed on a Lime share bike.
Asian Bike Club founder Kae-Lin Wang, above left, was among the many Bike Works staff members who attended--including Aaron Yoon below. Go Sonics.
Watch our video, Bicycles Bridge Communities, featuring Mosqueda, Ezell's Famous Chicken CEO Lewis Rudd, Let's Go educators and supporters, and Pedaling Relief Project volunteers.
Bye for now, and see you next year!
