SeaTac Airport Loop (Leisurely)

Join us for a bike tour from North SeaTac Park on a 20-mile route that passes entirely around SeaTac Airport at a Leisurely (10-12 mph average on flat ground) pace!

We will meet at the parking lot accessible from 20th Ave S and S 128th St of North SeaTac Park just south of Northwest Kidney Centers (12901 20th Ave S, SeaTac, WA 98168). Bike access is from a trail running along Des Moines Memorial Drive that abuts the park. Parking can be found in adjacent parking lots. Transit access is from King County Metro Bus route 132 nearby or Sound Transit's 1 Line light rail (Tukwila International Blvd Station) about 2.5 miles away.

Please be ready to ride at 10:00 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that’s done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

We will ride clockwise in a loop around SeaTac Airport and stop at a few interesting viewpoints along the way. We will take a restroom & water break at Des Moines Marina (mile 11.8). There are restrooms near the start in North SeaTac Park.

The route is mostly on paved roads and trails with a hundred or so feet on unpaved pathways.

Please note: this ride is expected to last around 3 hours (estimated finish before 1:00 pm).

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
