For us, weekends are for riding bikes, eating brunch, and raising a toast to new friends.

If you feel the same, come join us this weekend (Sept. 9-10) for an e-bike clinic on Saturday and the Woodinville Wine Ride on Sunday.

Both events are sponsored by Priority Bicycles, which will be handing out swag both days including multi-tools, hip bags, bike speakers, and sunglasses.

Electric Brunch

On Saturday, Priority will host an “electric brunch” and e-bike clinic at Cascade’s offices in Seattle’s Magnuson Park. Enjoy coffee, bagels, shmears, and pastries while Priority technicians explain the various types of e-bikes on the market–and offer test rides on their Priority Current, e-Coast, and e-Classic.

If you’re in the market for an e-bike, Priority plans to sell the e-bikes used during the clinic at a steep discount. Sign up for the clinic and demo here.

Participants will also have the opportunity to check out an Xtracycle Swoop, a family-friendly e-cargo bike. The Swoop is a car-replacing workhorse that functions as a pedal-powered minivan, grocery hauler, or family school bus.

We use our Swoop for Pedaling Relief Project rides, where volunteers and staff deliver food from food banks to food-insecure neighbors, and for hauling heavy supplies to events. This is a great opportunity to see if a Swoop would be right for your family, and to test ride a variety of e-bike styles from Priority.

Terroir on Two Wheels

On Sunday, Sept. 10, we host the Woodinville Wine Ride, one of Cascade’s most family friendly rides. Participants will bike along the relatively flat and lush, scenic Sammamish River Trail through several winery districts on the northern side of Lake Washington, stopping at three tasting rooms for small sips.

At the conclusion of the 19-mile route, you can enjoy a full pour (or beer) at the finish line party at Black Raven Brewing. We will have snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, music, and food trucks. Priority will have a tent and games at the finish line party where you can win that swag we mentioned earlier.

Registration closes Thursday Sept. 7 at 11:59 p.m., so sign up now!

We get asked about Woodinville wine history all the time. To get the backstory on how Woodinville became the Solvang of eastern Washington, read our 2021 post “Tastings on Two Wheels.”

Come learn, ride, and raise a toast with us this weekend!
