Bike Everywhere Month 2026
Bike Everywhere Month is a time to support, encourage, and celebrate all things bicycling. Join us and the League of American Bicyclists in showing that no one celebrates pedal power like Washington. Get ready for warm-weather riding with a host of in-person and some virtual activities. The best way to celebrate Bike Everywhere Month is simply to get on a bike: ride to work, ride to the grocery store or just ride for the sheer joy of being outside and soaking in the sun after a long winter.

May 3, Sunday
Ride for Major Taylor - Celebrate the legacy of Marshall "Major" Taylor, the Black World Cycling Champion, with a ride showcasing the many sides of southern Puget Sound. Choose from the 26 or 62-mile route. This event supports Cascade Bicycle Club’s Major Taylor Project (MTP), which provides 200 students each year with bike education, rides, and opportunities to give back to their communities.

Bike to School Day- Join the national movement and Bike to School!
May 13, Wednesday, 6 to 11 a.m.

May 21, Wednesday, 12 to 1 p.m.
Bike Everywhere Luncheon - Our largest fundraiser of the year! When neighbors ride together, we create moments that matter most. This year’s program will explore how advocacy, education, and community building work together to strengthen our entire community.
May 30, Saturday, 6 to 5 p.m.
Flying Wheels Summer Century - A scenic ride through Western Washington’s Snoqualmie Valley, the route starts and finishes in King County's Marymoor Park in Redmond, including a finish line celebration at the Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome. Choose from 50, 70, or 100 miles.
Events happening throughout Bike Everywhere Month
Bike Everywhere Challenge: We are ecstatic to announce the return of an old favorite: the Bike Everywhere Challenge, hosted by our sister organization, WA Bikes. Ride solo or on a team, log miles, and earn prizes. It's that simple! This friendly competition will run from May 1 to May 31. Registration will begin in mid-April.
