Join us for a ride from Sixty Acres parking lot in Redmond on a 31 mile route at moderate pace (14-16 mph on flat terrain).
This will be a nice "tried and true" route for the last Treats of January! We'll ride south along west side of Lake Sammamish to Issaquah and then return on the eastside of Lake Sammamish.
Let's meet at the south east parking lot at Sixty Acres (note: this is the largest parking lot and is on the south side of 116th on the east side of the valley) and please be ready to ride at 10 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate. We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH). Please bring navigation device or cue sheet/map in case you decide to ride on your own. There are a few hills, but we climb them at our own pace and regroup at the top.
Restrooms (Portapotties) available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at about mile 4. We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at PCC at about mile 15. Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is canceled at least 21 hours before the start, Ride Leaders will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
