**CANCELLED** CTS 2024 Yellow # 6: Two Points and a Levee
Ride Contact
Event has been cancelled.
Welcome to the CTS # 6 ride: 2 Points and a Levee!
Please note the time change. All yellow riders should be ready to ride at 08:00 a.m., and should arrive at the Old Renton City Hall prior to 07:45 in order to have your bikes offloaded and gear prepared. This is the same location that CTS # 4, the Full Lake Loop, started and finished. If time allows, consider using the porta potties at the Skate Park. Please plan accordingly as far as additional time that may be needed.
This will be an endurance ride, at 74 miles. Please plan accordingly. Bring extra water bottles, sunscreen (depending on the conditions), snacks as needed. There is a planned lunch stop at the Starbucks in Sumner. We plan to not spend more than 20 minutes at this stop. I suggest bringing two spare inner tubes as recent experience has shown that one tube will not be sufficient if you have more than one flat fire.
The ride along Dash Point and south-west towards Browns Point can be spectacular. We do plan for a photo stop at The Cliff House Restaurant in Dash Point. Then, we climb up Slayden Road, in what will likely be the steepest of our climbs, but also the final of the major climbing portions. Lunch stop will be at the Starbucks near the Fred Meyer in Sumner, a perfect time for an iced beverage, coffee or otherwise!
Rest Stops, after starting in Renton, will be as follows:
Steel Lake Park in Federal Way, Mile 18.6
QFC in North Tacoma, near Browns Point, Mile 33
Starbucks in the same shopping center as the Fred Meyer in Sumner, Mile 48.
Three Friends Fishing Hole Park in Kent, Mile 68.5.
Other cautions are indicated in the Ride with GPS Map point of interest icons.
