**CANCELLED** On the Banks of the Duwamish (Leisurely)

"On the Banks of the Duwamish" is a fun ride at leisurely pace, with a coffee stop when we have completed about three quarters of the route. 

Let's meet in the parking area in Jack Block Park at 9:45 a.m. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

During the ride, we will cross the meandering, tree-lined Duwamish River four times.  After the first river crossing on the outbound route, we will leave the Green River Trail and ride through the quiet streets of Tukwila's Allentown neighborhood.  After the second crossing, we will rejoin the Green River Trail and head back to the start, making two more crossings on the way.  When we've arrived in South Park (Mile 16), we'll stop for coffee and snacks at a new cafe, The Scene in South Park. 

Restrooms and water are available at the start.  Restrooms and water are also available at the coffee/snack stop.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
