Let's meet in Downtown Redmond for a fun 16-mile ride. Meet us in the Redmond Central Connector parking lot (the one painted blue and yellow), and be ready to ride at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
🧭 Route and pace: We will go at 12-14mph on the flats. We'll go through most of the wonderful cycling trails in Redmond, as well as some quiet suburban roads and bigger roads with good bike lanes. There is one climb (Education Hill) which we will do at our own pace and regroup frequently. This ride is great for beginners! If you are unsure about the pace, there is a link to the route map on the right that you can download in case you want to head back to the start.
🚌 Getting there: Parking is free on Sundays in the Redmond Central Connector parking lot; there is also ample street parking. Redmond Transit Center is three blocks away with access to numerous bus routes including 545 (Seattle) and RapidRide B line (Bellevue).
☕ Rest stops: We will stop for coffee about halfway through the ride at the Avondale PCC Starbucks.
🚻 Restrooms: There are restrooms near the start in Redmond Downtown Park about a block away from the parking lot. There are also restrooms at the midpoint coffee stop.
🛟 Safety suggestions: Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
🌦️ Showers cancel: If there is rain or other unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, we will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, the ride leaders will not be at the start location. Please check this page again before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
