Hills around Edmonds 25

Join us for a ride from Edmonds City Park  on a 25.6 mile route at a Moderate Pace 14-16 MPH!.

The route is a hilly ride with many views of the Sound and Olympic Mts. starting in Edmonds.  To warm up we’ll travel north and take in views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains on our way to Meadowdale Beach Rd.  After our climb up Meadowdale we head south toward Shoreline Community College and Innis Arden with more ups and downs along the way.   There is  a nice downhill ride at Shoreline CC.  As we travel through Innis Arden we'll take in some more views with a brief stop above Salt Water Park.   We will regroup after major hills. This is a great conditioning ride to keep in shape.

Let's meet at Edmonds City Park and please be ready to ride at 9:30AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group. Note: entrance to the Park is on 3rd Ave.  The gravel parking lot is down the hill on the right.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup after hills. 

Water and restrooms are available at the start.  This ride does not have a scheduled meal stop so please bring any snacks you want to enjoy at our regroup breaks and at Salt Water Park.  There are optional restrooms and water available at mile 6.6.

Please bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat just in case.

Be considerate and have full fenders including mud flaps if roads are wet or a prediction of rain is in the forecast. If you don't have fenders, you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
