Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Join us for a scenic ride through the Snoqualmie Valley and Snohomish starting from Woodinville on a 64 mile, 3200' elevation low traffic volume route.
We will start at the Woodinville Sports Field parking lot across the street from Wilmot Park and ride scenic neighborhood roads through Maltby and Echo Lake area where we will have our first restroom and water break at Rainbow Market mile 14.8. From there we ride down to the Snoqualmie Valley to our optional second restroom only stop at Heiman Wildlife Refuge at mile 22.4. From there we ride into Snohomish and loop along the Snohomish River back to downtown Snohomish where we will stop for coffee at the Snohomish Bakery mile 35.8. We will continue on back roads through the valley and ride to our last water and restroom stop at Lewis Park in Monroe at mile 44.5. Our last leg of the ride is a hilly one back to Woodinville.
We will ride at a Moderate Pace of 14-16 MPH. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH). Climbs and descents are at each rider's own pace and we'll regroup at the top. Ride leaders will do their best to accommodate riders with a range of abilities, but riders who fall substantially behind the group pace may have to continue the ride on their own.
Let's meet at the Woodinville Sports Field parking lot and please be ready to ride at 8:30 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group. There is plenty of parking, restroom and water available at the start.
Ride with GPS route map and cue sheet are at the Link, below. In the event of separation due to flats or other problems, riders should download the route file into a GPS device or have a cue sheet. Cue sheets are not available at the start, if you want a cue sheet, please print it.
Bring ID; spare tubes, tools, patch kit, pump, and the skills to fix flats. Also have a phone and a plan for rescue if your bike fails. If roads are wet, fenders with long mudflaps are very highly recommended - otherwise you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Riders who have signed up will also receive an email notification that the ride has been canceled. If the status of the ride is in doubt be sure to check the Cascade Free Rides Calendar before heading to the start.
