Kirkland to Marymoor Park Velodrome (ONE-WAY)

Please join us for a one-way ride from the Totem Lake QFC to the Marymoor park Velodrome. We'll follow an 8 mile, 182 feet elevation route at a moderate pace of 14-16 MPH. Restrooms and water are available at the start inside the QFC, but not outside. Parking is available at both the start and finish.

Let's meet at the Totem Lake QFC Parking Lot and please be ready to ride at 5 pm. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group. 

We will mostly stick to the trails (Cross Kirkland Corridor and Sammamish River Trail). There will be a short gravel section near the start around the Totem Lake Connector bridge. There will be two short sections on the road, the first at the start until we get to the Cross Kirkland Corridor, and the second from the Cross Kirkland Corridor until we get on the Sammamish River Trail. 

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup frequently. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum 15 MPH. 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
