**CANCELLED** Last Call for August

Let's enjoy the last Saturday of August together riding this pleasant loop and for those who'd like to, taking time afterward for a coffee or bite to eat in Woodinville. Our ride will start heading south to the western part of Redmond, then west and north through the Rose Hill area.  We'll cross under I-405 at NE 116th to access that lovely downhill on Forbes Creek, then have just a little flat riding through Juanita before the long climb up Juanita Drive NE. We'll make our way through Inglewood and eventually down Waynita Way NE to meet up with the Burke Gilman for a relatively flat finish back to Wilmot. 

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, with the goal of regrouping at the tops of hills. Pace will be 12-14, slower going uphill and faster going down, though we'll observe the 15 MPH speed limit on any multi-use paths. Please have the route and/or a backup plan for returning to Wilmot in the case of severe mechanicals or other unforeseen difficulties that would prevent you from finishing the ride.

Let's meet at Wilmot Gateway Park and be ready to ride at 9:00 a.m. We will start with a required safety briefing which you must attend to be able to participate, and roll out when that's done.

Restrooms and water are available at the start. We will make a quick restroom stop at Juanita Beach Park at mile 15.2, about half-way through, then do some more serious refueling at the end of the ride. Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. 

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
