Free Group Ride
FRUMPS: Marysville and North vr 2
Event has already happened.
Join us on an adventure, riding from Jennings Nature Park on a 38.6-mile route at a steady pace (12-14 mph on the flats with no wind).
Let's meet at the Jennings Nature Park. Be there, ready to go at 9:00. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
We will ride west of I-5 north through Lakewood to Arlington, stopping at Safeway for restrooms and snacks at mile 17 for about 20 minutes. Then we'll continue to Lake Stevens via the Centennial Trail, where we will stop at Jays Market (mile 31.8) for restrooms and water. Then up over Soper Hill back to Jennings Nature Park.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup occasionally.
Restrooms are available at the start.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is canceled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
