Late to rise Moderate ride (Gas Works Park)

Join us for a ride from Gas Works Park on a 23 mile route at Moderate pace 14-16 mph!

Do you have trouble getting out of bed Sunday after Saturdays hammerfest, or possibly have other obligations in the morning but still like to get in a few miles in the afternoon? Well join me for a fun meander East and West of Lake Union. I have crafted a route that gets us to many of my favorite places and viewpoints. We will have several short stops to take pictures and enjoy chatting a bit. Please download the  route from the posted link below. No cue sheets will be provided.

Let's meet at the Gas Works Park and please be ready to ride at 12:30. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum 10 mph through the Arboretum.

Restrooms not available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 3 and 17.5 if needed . 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
